I have come to the conclusion that the area of Null security space that I’m in is very nearly deserted. I played from 6:00pm PST to 11:00PM, a total of about 5 hours, having fun the entire time.
There were a few situations that I found rather nerve wracking.. A player appeared in Local, so I spammed the directional scanner like mad. I saw a “Rapier” appear, and a new item on my overview called a “Cynosural Field”, which I discovered is a beacon of sorts allowing capitals to jump from system to system without a warp gate. This scared me, so I found myself a nice quiet corner of the system and spammed the Dscan some more until the pilots started disappearing from local chat. I later saw a player enter the system I was scanning in and deploy his scanning probes. A short time later, he disappeared. All the while I bounced back and forth between planets. About an hour later, I almost got caught by another frigate that landed nearly on top of me, but I saw him enter local and was ready to warp by the time he could arrive. I think I’m going to wear my tinfoil hat permanently in this game. Paranoia doesn’t necessarily pay, but it certainly helps you keep what you have!
I keep thinking I’m going to get caught, and I still have no doubts that will happen.. but I’m beginning to wonder WHEN… I bought two more Imicus scanning ships just in case, but I can’t find the items I need to fit it. Maybe I need to switch to a new area if I want constant excitement, but for now I’m happy with the income… I just need to figure out how to get my items to the market hub… especially considering Signal Cartel (the corporation I joined) is currently under a War Declaration by a Pirate corp… (Named P I R A T. lol)
4.9 million ISK in wallet
+120 million in items obtained tonight.
+36 million in items obtained in the previous night,
-1 million for 2x Imicus scan ships
If I were to get all my items to the market and sell them right now, I’d be sitting at 159,900,000 ISK….
Goal: 1.2 billion ISK
Gained: ~160 million ISK
To go: 1 billion 40 million ISK.
Smooth sailing so far… but I have a LONG way to go.
